City board still eyeing Alpha Center

McComb selectmen on Tuesday continued planning for a possible takeover of the Alpha Center.

Selectman Shawn Williams, whose Ward 4 contains the Alpha Center, said zoning personnel had recently performed a walkthrough of the building and would give the board a report on their findings soon.

McComb City Judge Brandon Frazier left no uncertainty about his role in home demolitions at Tuesday’s board meeting.

“I can’t do it,” Frazier said. “As a judge, I’m responsible for finding defendants guilty or innocent. I don’t demolish houses.”
