Beware of Social Security scam

Another Social Security scam seems to be making the rounds.

Laura Hughey of Summit told the Enterprise-Journal Friday that she had been called repeatedly from a phone number showing up on her caller ID as 915-239-2918, which said it belonged to a William Davis.

McComb hires CA replacing Butler

McComb selectmen Tuesday hired a new city administrator to replace Kelvin Butler, who announced his resignation at the end of May.

Dirkland Smith, a McComb native and McComb High School graduate, will start work Aug. 12 and work with Butler until his resignation becomes effective on Aug. 31.
