TYLERTOWN — The worst fears about the cost of federally mandated bridge inspections did not come to pass.
County engineer Jeff Dungan told Walthall supervisors that the order for the bridge inspections arrived with a cost of $350 per bridge for 59 spans in the county, which — with some other special inspections — totals about $26,000.
