TYLERTOWN – Winston Fortenberry pitched himself to Walthall supervisors as a candidate for veterans service officer.
The position has been vacant since former service officer Stanley Reeves died July 13.
At the Sept. 5 meeting, Fortenberry told supervisors he had assisted Reeves with veteran services until his death.
