A woman who was brutally beaten and left for dead in the parking lot of the Summit Post Office last week died Thursday evening after being taken off life support.
Summit Police Chief James Isaac said Johanna T. Smith, 45, of Martin Road died at the University of Mississippi Medical Center around 6 p.m.
