A McComb woman is safe after a Monday night accident on Higgins Drive left her trapped inside her burning vehicle until a sheriff’s deputy came to her rescue.

Pike County Sheriff’s Lt. John Glapion said the call about the accident went out at 6:32.

Covington’s Ace Hardware has been a fixture in Summit since the late 1800s. Owner Jake Holloway is the fifth generation owner of the family business.

Holloway, 32, said the business began as a farm supply and mule trading store for farmers and has since evolved and expanded.
