Five months ago, La’Porsha Renae was an unknown woman from McComb. Today she’s a household name.
And it all began with taking a leap of faith and driving 22 hours to Providence, R.I., to audition for “American Idol,” which ended its run after 15 seasons with La’Porsha making it all the way to the finale and finishing runner-up.
