A $10,000 payment to a departing McComb fire chief was legal, State Auditor Stacey Pickering said Wednesday.
In a speech to the McComb Rotary Club, Pickering discussed various state and federal issues related to his office, but the first subject brought up in a question-and-answer period following the speech was about McComb.
