McComb Dixie Youth Baseball 7- and 9-year-olds play for state titles

Unbeaten McComb defeated Cleveland 11-1 in five innings Monday night to advance to the championship of the Dixie Youth Baseball 9-year-old State Tournament.

Local 7-year-olds win two in state play before defeat

The McComb American Dixie Youth Baseball 7-year-old All-Stars won the first two games in the State Tournament in Cleveland.

But the victories came to a halt against Hattiesburg American Saturday night, losing 11-1. American had three hits. Stone Reeves, Max Welch-Dick and Cameron Jones each had one hit.

McComb 10-year-olds falter in district run

McComb needed to win only one of two games Saturday night against Lincoln County American to win the Dixie Youth Baseball District 6 10-year-old championship, but lost both games.

McComb dropped a 9-8 decision in the second game of the series, followed by a 5-2 loss in the third and deciding contest in Brookhaven.
