City: Paving on the way

PCAC: State Theater in bad shape

McComb is losing revenue because of the poor condition of the State Theater, a city-owned building leased and managed by the Pike County Arts Council.

Council representative Kelly Parker spoke to the city board Tuesday, pleading for an emergency fix to the theater’s roof.

The Pike County Chamber of Commerce presented its Oliver Emmerich Community Service Award to Jim Alford during its annual banquet Thursday, although the award winner said his community-minded wife Libba might be upstaging him in qualifications.

Gary Felder of McComb presented the Emmerich award to Alford.
