Rubber arms help Centreville advance to state championship

A second-consecutive state title was so important to Centreville’s Cliff Hurst, he wanted the ball not once Thursday, but twice.

Hurst, who took the loss in Game 2 of the MAIS Class AA playoffs Thursday against Brookhaven, came back to start Game 3. He was brilliant in Centreville’s 1-0 win.
