Spring football across most of the country concludes this week, and Pike County teams are competing in scrimmages against other schools to conclude their camp periods.
Defending MAIS 5A champs Parklane Academy will face Sumrall at 4 p.m. on Thursday at Southwest Mississippi C.C. The Pioneers are looking to make another deep playoff push with a host of new faces leading the charge.
North Pike will kick off the Paul Anderson era when it faces Vidalia (LA) at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The game will be played at Co-Lin C.C.
McComb and South Pike are both venturing a bit further from home for their games.
The Tigers are heading to Baton Rouge to take on Scotlandville at 6 p.m. on Friday. Alden Foster's team returns a plethora of offensive production and should field an explosive unit in 2025.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are heading eastward to play Magee at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at "The Rock" in Hattiesburg. Tyrone Varnado's squad is fresh off a 9-3 campaign and has the talent necessary to take another step forward in '25.
