Fast start not enough as North Pike falls to Brookhaven

With the Jaguars hitting the mid-season grind of district play, North Pike’s baseball team fell by a score of 5-3 against rivals Brookhaven on Tuesday in Summit.

The Jaguars (13-6, 3-4) jumped out to an early lead but couldn’t maintain their momentum as the game wore on.

McComb schools to put on Amelia Earhart play

In honor of Women’s History Month, the McComb School District’s Fine Arts Program will present “I’m Gonna Fly,” a play honoring the life of aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart, Friday and Saturday at Denman Junior High School.
