The Southwestern Athletic Conference has suspended four players and a coach in connection with a fight during Saturday’s Jackson State and Prairie View A&M baseball game.
The players and coach had been ejected from Saturday’s game in Jackson and under NCAA rules will serve a mandatory suspension without appeal.
Jackson State assistant coach Kevin Whiteside has been suspended by the league for six games and fined $2,000. But according to a press release issued by the school, Whiteside has been terminated.
Two Jackson State players, Kendall Logan and Marshum Hall, have been suspended for three games, and the school fined $1,000.
Two Prairie View A&M players, Evan Richard and Andre Oliver, have been suspended for three games and the school fined $1,000.
