Janiah Talbert’s two hits helped lead the North Pike slow pitch softball team to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory at home against Purvis Thursday night.
The Lady Jaguars scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to tie things up at 2-2 and another in the bottom of the inning to win.
Talbert was 2 for 4 with one RBI and one run.
Pitcher Whitley Howell was 2 for 3 and Madison Moak was 2 for 4, while Reanna Ivey was 2 for 3 with one run.
Howell gave up two earned runs and three walks, while recording one strikeout in seven innings for the win.
Linley Smith was 1 for 3 with one run and one RBI, and Ariel Johnson was 1 for 3 with one RBI.
The Lady Jaguars junior varsity lost to Purvis 8-0.
Alaia Crossley had two singles for North Pike, while Monica Davis and Kaylen Simpson had one single each.
