Addington and D.J. Parent both had 9 points for the Tigers, and Lane Sebastian finished with 6 points.
“I thought we played hard, but I think we could’ve played smarter. I was proud of them, we had played that team before, so they had to come back and get themselves mentally ready and sometimes that’s not easy to do,” Parklane Academy head coach Todd Foster said.“We knew they kind of had one primary ball handler, so we knew if we could get the ball out of his hands that we could make some other guys make some mistakes.” Foster said.
He also commended Brown’s stellar play.
“He’s a really good player. He was a scorer for us last year, but now he has started to become a really good basketball player,” Foster said. “It’s him and a bunch of sophomores, so he kind of sets the table for us.”
The Tigers will take on the Oak Forest Yellowjackets at 2:30 p.m. today following the varsity girls’ game.
The Pioneers will wrap things up on tonight against the Brookhaven Academy Cougars at 7:15 following the varsity girls’ game.
