Three members of the Southwest Mississippi Community College men’s basketball team have received post-season from the MACJC and Region 23 coaches.
Sophomore guard Jaylen Moore was named All-Region and 1st Team All-State. The Gulfport High School graduate led the Bears in 2014-15 with 16 points and 6.2 assists per game.
Sophomore forward Xavion Dillon, a Southeast Missouri State signee, was selected 2nd Team All-State. A graduate of Tylertown High School, Dillon scored 10.8 points and had 7.4 rebounds per game.
Honorable mention All-State status went to freshman forward Lafayette Rutledge. The Gautier High School product was second on the Bears with 12.2 points per game and led the team with 61 three-pointers.

Southwest Mississippi Comunity College women’s basketball players Cortney Epting, Talisa Sherman and Gabriella Cortez have received Honorable Mention, All-State status from the coaches of the MACJC.
A sophomore from Lanier High School, Epting picked up 8.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game during the 2014-15 season. Sherman, a sophomore graduate of Richland High School, was third on the team with 10.7 points per game and topped the team with 6.6 assists per contest. Cortez, a freshman from Natchitoches, Louisiana, led the Lady Bears with 11.9 point per game and was second with five rebounds per game.
