Amite County's Tremarean Sims inducted into U.S. Navy

Amite County senior Tremarean Sims was inducted into the United States Navy on Thursday in Liberty.
Sims played football for the Trojans prior to this year but has spent the fall preparing for his service, which will see him undergo active duty on a nuclear submarine.

Southwest offensive lineman Antwone Breland (6’ 6”, 298, Hattiesburg) has been named All-MACCC South for the 2025 season while linebacker BJ Mitchell (6’, 210, Hattiesburg) received 2nd Team honors.
Mitchell ended the 2025 campaign with a team-high 84 total tackles with four for loss, as well as one sack.
