Southwest sophomore pitcher/second baseman Corin Talbot has signed a scholarship to continue her athletic and academic career at Nicholls State University.
“My dream was to always play Division-I softball,” said Talbot, a native of Houma, LA. “And I’ve learned a lot from my time here. But the main thing is I’ve learned that I like to be home, and Nicholls checks both those boxes with it being in my backyard.”
During her freshman season with the Lady Bears, Talbot hit .324 at the plate with 44 hits, including four home runs and 24 runs batted in.
In the pitching circle, she struck out 110 batters in 103.2 innings and finished the campaign with a 7-12 mark and an earned run average of 3.94.
