Just five days removed from a tough loss at Gulf Coast, the Bears will have to quickly get back into form ahead of another challenging opponent in Co-Lin.
The Wolves (3-1, 2-1) enter Thursday's game coming off of a 31-20 victory over Jones at home.
Co-Lin is led by the quarterback duo of Eli Viniard and Jaylen Pettway, both of whom have completed over 55% of their passes with over 350 yards passing each.
But the bread and butter of the Wolves' offense revolves around its rushing attack, which is led by Martavious Boswell who has 55 carries for 421 yards and five touchdowns.
The Bears counter with a defense that features sophomore linebacker BJ Mitchell, who is fifth in the conference in tackles with 33 thus far.
Offensively, the Bears also boast a strong ground game that features sophomore Jalen Williams, who recorded his second 100 yard-plus performance in Saturday's loss. He currently leads the MACCC in rushing yards (438) and yards per game (107.0).
Thursday's matchup also represents the first Southwest home game against Co-Lin since 2022.
The game will also feature Special Friends Night where members of Miracle League, Camp Sunshine, Open Doors Theater and Special Olympics and one caregiver will be admitted into the game for free.
The Bears and the Wolves kick off at 7 p.m. from John I. Hurst Stadium. Those who can't attend the game can watch a live stream on BearTV (https://go.smccbears.tv/).
