The Bears started off slow, finding themselves down 5-1 after five innings with the sole run coming from Tanner Moore scoring on an error.
But SMCC finally woke up in the sixth inning, putting up a huge four runs to tie the game at 5-5.
With the bases loaded, Landon French singled to score the first Bear run of the inning to move the score to 5-2.
Then, a Tristain Haynes double cleared the bases, scoring three and tying the game.
In the very next inning, Justin Domiano scored on a Hayes Loper single to give the Bears a 6-5 lead that they would hold for the rest of the game.

Domiano and French each had a stolen base in the contest.
In Game Two, Rhyson Carroway pitched the entire game for the Bears.
Across seven innings, Carroway recorded eight strikeouts and only three hits allowed.
In a low scoring contest, Southwest was down 3-2 going into the top of the seventh.
The two runs came on a French bunt single and a Miller single.
In the top of the seventh, Moore led off the inning with a double to get into scoring position.
With the tying run on second, Domiano singled to score Moore and tie the game at three.
With the leading run on first base, Loper hit a double to left field that scored Domiano to give the Bears a 4-3 lead over Hinds.
Carroway would hold off the home side in the bottom of the seventh to secure the sweep for Southwest.
Moore led the team with three hits followed by French with two. Domiano, Loper, Drew Swan and Miller each had a hit.
Miller, French, Domiano and Loper all had a RBI while Loper and Moore each had a double.
“When you go on the road in the MACCC, you know it’s going to be tough to win a game much less two games,” head coach Jack Edmonson said. “Hinds is a really good team that’s playing well. For us to go to their place and take two one-run games says a lot about the toughness of our team. I’m very proud to be their coach.”
The Bears (23-15, 7-7) will play Northwest at home on Friday in a conference doubleheader.
