The Southwest football program announced the hiring of former Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace on Monday.
The Rebel alum will act as a co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Bears after holding similar roles at a variety of previous stops.
Wallace's coaching career began with him serving as an assistant at Episcopal School of Dallas in 2015 before he took over as QBs coach at Marshall County High School in Tennessee.
The former East Mississippi C.C. signal-caller then returned to act as the Lions' QB coach in 2017 before diving back into the high school ranks at Giles County High School (TN) the following year.
Another season of high school coaching, this time at Fayette-Ware in Tennessee, led to Wallace finding his way back to the JUCO level. He worked as Coahoma's offensive coordinator and and quarterbacks coach in 2020, then took the same role at Pearl River in 2021 before becoming the QBs coach at Holmes in 2022.
From there, Wallace took over as OC at the University School of Jackson (TN) from 2023 until he was hired by Southwest.
As a player, Wallace threw for 9,534 yards and 62 touchdowns while completing 63.0% of his passes as a three-year starter. He also ran for 994 yards and 19 more scores, although Wallace is perhaps best-remembered for his clutch performance during Ole Miss' upset win over then-No. 1 Alabama in 2014.
