The Mississippi Association of Coaches recently revealed its All-State Football Teams for the 2025 season, and six local athletes made the cut.
From McComb, four players qualified for the 4A All-State squads. Junior receiver Sheldon Isaac and senior tight end Broderick "Bam" Peters both landed on the First Team Offense, while senior linebacker Jace Jackson and junior defensive back Delwin Perkins Jr. were listed on the First and Second Team Defense respectively.
Rated a 3-star recruit by 247Sports, Isaac hauled in 56 passes for 1,158 yards and 14 touchdowns this past fall, which meant he averaged just over 20 yards per reception.
Meanwhile, Peters ranked second to Isaac with 27 catches for 572 yards and 10 scores. The Southern Miss signee transferred from Hammond prior to this season.
And defensively, Jackson racked up a whopping 101 total tackles to go along with eight tackles for loss and three sacks after transferring from Ponchatoula.
Perkins rounds out the group of Tigers after he manufactured 11 pass breakups, four interceptions and 26 total tackles.
And from South Pike, senior edge rusher Micah Nickerson and sophomore punter LaDarius Martin were each listed.
Having just signed with Mississippi State last week, the 6-foot-5 Nickerson was a force for the Eagles all season. He paced South Pike with 10 sacks and 19 tackles for loss while also recording 59 total tackles, which landed him on the 4A First Team.
Martin earned Second-Team honors for his punting, as he averaged just under 30 yards per kick and pinned four punts inside the 20-yard line. His long on the year was a 44-yard boot.
