KOSCIUSKO, Miss. (AP) — A radio broadcast tower collapsed Wednesday as a strong thunderstorm swept through north Mississippi.
The tower in Kosciusko is owned by Boswell Media, and it fell onto a building that houses three radio stations.
WLIN-Breezy 101 reported that one person was in the building when a tree fell onto one of the tower's support wires, causing the collapse. Nobody was injured
WCKK (Kicks 96.7) and WKOZ (Cruisin’ 98.3) went back on the air early Thursday, using a transmitter in another community. Engineers were working to get Breezy 101 back on the air, as well.
