As the Clarion Ledger continues its series of polls to determine who the best returning high school football players are in the state, a pair of Pike County athletes made the cut in the tight end category.
South Pike senior Zarkevion Brown and McComb senior Broderick "Bam" Peters join 14 other players in the voting, which closes at noon on Sunday. The link to vote can be found here.
Brown recorded eight catches for 191 yards and a touchdown last season, and the 6-foot-4 target is poised for more with quarterback DJ Turner returning to get him the ball.
Meanwhile, Peters transferred to McComb from Hammond this past offseason. The 3-star prospect is currently committed to play at Southern Miss next year.
