The Quail Hollow Golf Course is set to host the fourth-annual "McComb Pro-Am Classic" as part of the Emerald Coast Golf Tour from Aug. 13-16.
The now-annual event will begin with a practice round for professionals and amateurs on Wednesday.
The first round for professionals will occur Thursday, and a Pro-Am party for all participating players will be held that same night at the clubhouse. Food, drink and entertainment will be provided.
On Friday, pros and amateurs alike will take to the course for a shotgun start at noon.
The Pro-Am teams will use the two best balls from each four-player group, with amateurs receiving 80% of their handicap. The pros will compete over all three days.
Saturday features the final round for professionals with an ensuing awards ceremony in the clubhouse.
The fee to enter the Pro-Am is $100 for all amateurs, and that includes admittance to the Kickoff Party and Pro-Am event, lunch, drinks, tee packages and entrance to the awards ceremony.
For professionals, the entry fee is $100 for local pros, $875 for ECGT members and $1,050 for nonmembers.
The first-place payout is expected to be a minimum of $10,000 and over 40% of the field will be paid. The total purse is expected to hover around $30,000.
There are also plenty of sponsorship opportunities for the event. They range from being a $200 Scoreboard Sponsor to a $7,500 Title Sponsor, and many of the sponsorships also include entrance into the tournament and other benefits.
