Polls are open until 7 tonight in Magnolia as residents cast ballots in the Democratic primary, the outcome of which is expected to determine who the city’s leaders will be when the next four-year term begins in July.
All voting is taking place at the Magnolia Community Center on South Cherry Street. A runoff, if needed, will be held April 22.
Incumbent Mayor Tammy Witherspoon faces a challenge from Marvin Brumfield.
In the alderman at-large race, incumbent Darrell Pounds faces Jennifer Jones Knox.
In Ward 1, incumbent Becky Magee faces two challengers, Chad Williams and Charles White.
