Parklane rising senior offensive lineman Arrocus "Roc" Baskin Jr. announced his commitment to continue his playing career at the United State Military Academy at West Point on Thursday.
Baskin was a stalwart on the Pioneer offensive line during the program's state-title run last season, and the 6-foot-3, 280-pounder figures to be one of the leaders of a battle-tested Parklane squad this fall.
Once his senior season concludes, Baskin will join an Army program that has enjoyed immense success under head coach Jeff Monken. Since he took the helm in 2015, the Black Knights have qualified for six bowl games and finished with eight or more wins on six occasions.
But perhaps most importantly, Monken is 6-4 against arch rivals Navy and has won the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy four times.
