The Parklane Academy football program held a ring ceremony Friday for the players, coaches and staff members that contributed to the Pioneers' 2025 state-title run.
Each individual was handed their ring box before everyone did the grand reveal at the same time, and a host of family members and friends were in attendance as well.
Parklane finished with an 11-1 overall record and a 2-1 mark in district action this past year. The Pioneers took down Jackson Prep for the first time since 1995 to open the season before they largely cruised to the 4A D-II Playoffs.
There, Ron Rushing's squad pitched a pair of shutouts to claim the title, as it beat Starkville Academy and Heritage Academy by a combined margin of 68-0.
On the season, Parklane scored 36.0 points per game and only gave up 8.5 per outing.
And of course, this ceremony also served as a bit of déjà vu considering the fact that the Pioneers also claimed a state championship in 2024. Thus, multiple players and coaches are now beginning to build a collection of rings.
