Fresh off securing a second straight state title, the Parklane Academy football program is looking to make it three in a row during the 2026 campaign.
But to do so, the Pioneers will have to navigate their way through one of the team's most difficult schedules to date.
Parklane's 2026 Schedule:
- Aug. 21: @ Gulf Shores (Alabama)
- Aug. 28: @ Jackson Prep
- Sept. 4: vs. Parkview Baptist (Louisiana)
- Sept. 11: @ Silliman Institute (Louisiana)
- Sept. 18: vs. Simpson Academy
- Sept. 25: vs. Copiah Academy
- Oct. 2: vs. Dunham School (Louisiana)
- Oct. 9: @ Oak Forest Academy (Louisiana)
- Oct. 16: @ Brookhaven Academy
- Oct. 23: vs. East Rankin Academy
- Oct. 30: vs. Madison-Ridgeland Academy
Ron Rushing's side will open its season in Alabama against Gulf Shores High School on Aug. 21. The Dolphins are a strong 6A program in the state and are fresh off a 5-6 campaign in 2025.
After that lengthy road trip, the slate doesn't lighten up. The Pioneers will then visit arch rivals Jackson Prep on Aug. 28, and the Patriots will be eager to exact some revenge after Parklane dismantled them last year.
The next week will see the Pioneers host Baton Rouge's Parkview Baptist for their home-opener. The visiting Eagles went 6-6 in 2025 after posting an 8-4 record the year prior.
From there, Rushing & Co. will take on more familiar foes. A trip across the border to face Silliman on Sept. 11 is followed by home dates with Simpson and Copiah.
But with the calendar turning to October, another new opponent visits McComb. This time, Baton Rouge's Dunham School will be making the trip, and the Tigers bring with them the top-rated quarterback in the Class of 2027, Elijah Haven.
Parklane will make its final road trips on Oct. 2 and Oct. 9 to take on Oak Forest and Brookhaven Academy respectively.
Then, the Pioneers will conclude their regular season against a pair of tough opponents. East Rankin visits on Oct. 23, and Madison-Ridgeland Academy comes to town for the final game of the campaign. Notably, the Patriots were the only team to take down Parklane last season.
Since Rushing took the the helm prior to the 2021 season, the program boasts an overall record of 40-21 to go along with those two state championships.
With the coaching staff being hard at work to prepare for this daunting slate of games, Rushing didn't have time to make any fancy graphics:
