The Ole Brook FC U12 boys started off their spring tournament season on a solid foot as they competed in the IFC Spring Invitational this past weekend in Flowood.

The team finished runners-up in their division after a tough loss in the championship game on Sunday.

Ole Brook fought hard in pool play Saturday and won both matches, 2-1 and 2-0, sending them straight to the championship game on Sunday.

Sunday's title bout was a chess match against the Delta Red Bulls of Greenwood, but Ole Brook ultimately fell short, conceding the game 3-1.

The Ole Brook FC U12 team consists of players from Copiah, Lincoln and Pike counties.
