Rosie Lee Jackson, 59, of New Orleans, died there Nov. 27, 2007, at Tulane University Hospital.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. Thursday at Rhodes Funeral Home in Gretna, La., until services there at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Providence Park Memorial Cemetery in Kenner, La.
Ms. Jackson was born July 4, 1948, in Tylertown to Juanita B. Jackson and the late C.J. Jackson Sr.
Ms. Jackson was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Henry Jackson.
Survivors include her mother; one son, Joseph Jackson of New Orleans; four daughters, Helene Jackson, Cleissia Jackson, and Shiretha Gillum and her husband Leo, all of New Orleans, and Catina Awadallah and her husband Abvul of Baytown, Texas; eight sisters and three brothers-in-law, Rosa Mary Jackson, Carrie Jackson, Carolyn Daniels, Nita Cameron and Dedrick, Mary Bell and Tony, Minnie Collins and Jessie, and Latte Youngblood, all of McComb, and Alitha Youngblood of Waterloo, Iowa; seven brothers and four sisters-in-law, Hilton Jackson and Eva, and C.H. Jackson, all of Osyka, Milton Jackson and Merfalene of Tylertown, C.E. Youngblood of McComb, C.J. Jackson Jr. of Warnerton, La., Edward Jackson and Tammy of Covington, La., and Curtis Jackson and Marion of Killeen, Texas; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
