Robert Lucius Morgan, 91, of Liberty, passed away peacefully Dec. 15, 2017, at Liberty Community Living Center.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home and continues from 10 a.m. until services at 11. Burial with full military honors will follow in Liberty Cemetery
Mr. Morgan was born on March 11, 1926, the son of Charles “Charlie” Morgan and Margaret Edna Smith Morgan.
In 1944, he joined the U.S. Navy and fought fearlessly in World War II. He was a retired electrician.
Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Roy Lee Morgan.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Morgan; two daughters and their spouses, Verna Jackson and Mark, and Donna Gurney and Ikey; three grandchildren and their spouses, Yantzie Jackson and Melissa, Kyle Jackson and Jana, and April Roberts and Jimmy; six great-grandchildren and their spouses, Christopher Jackson and Jordan, Emma Jackson, Ethan Jackson, Olivia Jackson and Madeline Roberts; and his special cousin Johnny Morgan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a countless number of friends.
