Leonard Roland Malone, 74, of Brookhaven, passed away Sept. 14, 2014, at his residence.
Visitation is 5 to 9 tonight at Riverwood Family Funeral Service of Brookhaven. Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Riverwood.
Mr. Malone was born Dec. 27, 1939, in New Orleans, the son of Allen Roland and Beulah Malone.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was the retired owner of Lucky 7 Greenhouse. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mr. Malone was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Rocky Malone; a granddaughter, Gena Smith; a great-granddaughter, Alana Kay Pitts; and two brothers, David and Ronnie Malone.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Malone; a son, Leonard “Manny” Malone Jr. and wife Ouida; five daughters, Gigi Owens and husband Hank, Mimi Smith and husband Jimmy, Elizabeth Coon and husband Bill, Sylvia Pfaffenberger and husband Fred, and Jazmine Malone; 15 grandchildren, Carey Smith, Tatum Pfaffenberger, Shannon Sanders, Angel Morgan, Steven Webb, Lenny Cotty, Katasha Case, Jamie Smith, Kayla Wilson, Kelli Owens, Chance Owens, Chase Owens, Joseph Malone, Jeremy Malone and Austin Malone; and 25 great-grandchildren.
