During a soft, summer rain at the age of 76, Howard “Max” Maxwell Brunson Jr. passed away gently Aug. 18, 2015, in Covington, La., surrounded by those who loved him.
Visitation was 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church, 16333 Highway 1085, Covington, La., followed by services at 11:30 a.m. Interment was in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. E.J. Fielding Funeral Home of Covington was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brunson was born March 21, 1939, the son of Howard and Leota Brunson Sr.
Max graduated from Meridian High School and the University of Georgia, where he played football and was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Olivia Ann Brock Brunson.
He is survived by his daughter, Holly Ann Brunson Biggs and husband Travis McKenzie Biggs; two grandsons, Travis Wade Biggs and Brunson Maxwell Biggs of Covington, La.
