James E. Holmes III
James E. “Jamie” Holmes, III, 64, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025 in Columbia, S.C.
A memorial service will be held in Hollywood Cemetery, with Rev. Ricky Lee officiating.
Jamie was born May 19, 1961 in McComb City Hospital.
He graduated with honors from Belhaven College. He owned a Sears Home Store in Amite, La., and was manager for Tractor Supply in Columbia, Miss., before moving to South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Andra Ann Holmes, who passed away on Jan. 6, 2025.
He is survived by his mother, Christine (Tina) Williams Holmes; aunts Ruby Gautney of McComb and Helen Lewis of Cleveland, Texas; and numerous cousins.
Augusta James
Mrs. Augusta James, 91, of McComb passed away on Sept. 13, 2025 in her residence.
