Mr. Derek L. Cowart, 44, of Jayess was called home to be with the Lord on Aug. 22, 2025, in Jackson.
Visitation is 11 a.m. Saturday at West Holy Hill Church of God in Christ of Jayess, with funeral services there at 12 noon. Pastor Terry Bridges will officiate.
Interment will be in Cowart Estates Cemetery with Craft-Dillon-Ginn Funeral Chapel of Tylertown in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cowart was born Aug. 4, 1981, in McComb.

Germie Martin, 56, of Summit passed away on Sept. 3, 2025 in Select Specialty Hospital of Jackson.
Arrangements were incomplete with Young’s Funeral Home of Summit in charge.
