Frances W. Varnado, 92
Frances W. Varnado, 92, of McComb passed away Nov. 6, 2025 at Camellia Estates of McComb.
Graveside services were at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Smithdale on Nov. 9. Brother Hunter Wooldridge officiated. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb was in charge of arrangements.
Frances was born June 26, 1933 to the late Elige Westbrook and Maudie Laster Westbrook. She was a retired rural mail carrier for many years in Smithdale.
She loved cooking, working in her yard and being with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Burnell Varnado; a son, Richard W. Butler; two brothers, Earl Westbrook and Lewis Westbrook; and a sister Ira W. Kent.
She is survived by a son, William Butler (Debbie); a daughter, Charlotte Rebecca Butler and a daughter-in-law, Gail Butler; four granddaughters, Jennifer Woodard (Sonny), Jennifer Butler, Stephanie Butler and Nikki Butler Hollingsworth (Dillon); four great-grandchildren Maddie Woodard, Jack Woodard, Hamilton Woodard and Carlee Addison; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Camellia Estates and Hospice Compassus for their love and compassionate care.
