A report of a suspicious vehicle led to the arrest of a McComb man on drug charges Wednesday.
Jeremy Wooley, 32, 1180 Friendship Road, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia following a traffic stop around 3 a.m., Pike County Chief Investigator Chris Bell said.
Deputies stopped Wooley and his passenger on Wells Road after they received a call of a pickup with power tools hanging out of the bed.
Bell said that when deputies approached the vehicle, they noticed a 9mm pistol between Wooley’s legs and a .22-caliber rifle within reach on the back seat.
Deputies ordered both men to exit the vehicle and secured the weapons. After a search, Bell said deputies found Wooley had .69 grams of methamphetamine in his pocket.
Bell said a vaporizer that later tested positive for methamphetamine was also found in the vehicle.
Wooley remains in jail in lieu of $40,000 bond.
