Santa Claus is coming to town, and he’s making a pit stop at Family Pharmacy, located at 200 Marion Avenue.
Kimberly Wooley, marketing director for the pharmacy, said Santa will be at the pharmacy after he arrives in McComb by way of the Christmas Parade.
“He’ll be here until the 24th,” Wooley said. She said Santa will check his list to see who’s been naughty or nice and visit all the boys and girls from 1 to 4 p.m.
While visiting, parents can get pictures of their children with Santa. Wooley said there will be two packages available for purchase.
One package will have an 8-by-10, two 5-by-7s and eight wallet-size pictures, and cost $11.99. The second package will have two 8-by-10s, four 5-by-7s and 16 wallets, and cost $16.99
Wooley said additional wallets can be added to any package for $5 and additional 5-by-7 pictures will cost $6.
While children are meeting Santa, Family Pharmacy also offers delicious fudge so mommy and daddy can indulge a little.
Wooley said when people buy a pound a fudge for $11.99, they will get a half- pound for free.
“Trays of fudge start at $20 and delivery options are available,” she said. Wooley said those who are interested in delivery should call the pharmacy for more information.
Debbie Coghlan said the pharmacy offers seasonal fudges that are only available during the holidays.
“We have red velvet, creme brulee, peppermint, various cheesecake flavors and snowy road,” Coghlan said.
People don’t have to worry about the fudge at Family Pharmacy being old — new batches are made every day.
Coghlan said they even have fudge in the shape of a Christmas tree.
“If a company wants to say thank you to someone they’ve worked with all year, they can give them the Christmas tree fudge as a gift,” she said.
Wooley said the pharmacy also offers decorative things to make a person’s home festive and bright. Anyone looking for a unique gift can find what they’re looking for at Family Pharmacy.
Coghlan said their best sellers are ornaments, decorative items, Christmas trees, plush toys and Bluetooth speakers.
“We have chalkboard style ornaments and signs — they’re very popular. We have the rustic signs with the board backgrounds,” she said.
But these items are not going to last long. Coghlan said the pharmacy sold an entire tree with the ornaments in one day.
“We had a tree with emoji ornaments and we sold every ornament on the tree,” Coghlan said.
The pharmacy still has a few plush emoji pillows, but those may not last long either.
A unique aspect of the pharmacy is that while it is a corporate-owned store as part of the Fred’s chain, it still have a local touch. An example are handmade hair bows made by a local woman in Summit.
