Two men broke into a woman's home Thursday and robbed her at gunpoint, McComb police said.
Carla Varnado was at home with her children in the 400 block of North Locust Street around 11:15 p.m. when the incident occurred.
Detective Josh Brown said the two men entered her home by kicking in the front door. As they approached Varnado, one of the men brandished a handgun and held it to her head, demanding money.
Brown said Varnado complied with their demands and gave the men $300 in cash.
The two men then fled on foot, and were last seen running west behind the house.
Neither Varnado nor her kids was injured in the incident.
Brown said Varnado described the robbers as black males in their 20s. One of them reportedly had small twists in his hair, while the other had a closely cropped haricut.
The case is still under investigation and officers are following some leads.
“I do have some guys in question,” Brown said.
