McComb police are looking for two more men who allegedly used a stolen card at Walmart as local cases of credit card fraud involving out-of-town victims continue to surface.
Police detective Deska Varnado said officers received a report Thursday from a victim in Gulfport. After speaking with the victim, police determined the credit card was used at Walmart.
When authorities reviewed store surveillance video shot Aug. 14, they saw suspects swiping multiple cards and racking up charges of $1,950, Varnado said.
“The first suspect is described as a white male wearing a black baseball cap, a gray short-sleeve shirt and dark pants,” Varnado said. “The second suspect is described as a male wearing a black baseball cap, a blue long-sleeve button-up shirt and dark-color pants.”
He said the victim is not aware of how they obtained his credit card information, and other victims are being contacted to verify if their identities were stolen.
Varnado said the case is similar to another recent spate of credit card fraud reports. In an earlier case, a victim told officers he still had possession of his credit card, giving officers the impression thieves used a skimmer to steal credit card numbers and other information.
Police were looking for two other men in connection with the earlier fraud reports.
They have identified one as Bradley J. Boudreaux, 32, of Mamou, La., who is wanted for three counts of credit card fraud and a count of conspiracy, as well as a probation violation in Louisiana.
