The McComb Police Department is investigating two auto burglaries and the burglary of a shed that occurred Friday and Sunday.
Lt. Sean Gill said Pamela Williams of New York Avenue told officers at 7:20 a.m. that she left her black MK purse sitting on the console of her gray 2007 Nissan Altima.
Detective Shannon Sullivan said a witness saw three black males enter the vehicle and allegedly remove some items.
Williams told officers that when she returned to the car from her house, her purse containing her identification and an iPhone 6 Plus was missing.
In another case, William Powe told officers he was parked at the Ice House, 515 S. Railroad Boulevard, between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. while delivering sound equipment to the McComb Mill when someone stole his chrome five-shot .32-Magnum revolver.
Powe told officers the vehicle was unlocked, and the pistol was left on the seat.
On Sunday, Dorothy Murphy, Old Liberty Road, told officers that between midnight and 5 p.m. that someone allegedly went into her workshed and took tools. Sullivan said Murphy told officers she remembers seeing three black males around 5 p.m. that afternoon.
He said Murphy discovered the shop had been broken into and contacted police around 6 p.m.
