Pike County taxpayers will receive tax reminder notices in envelopes rather than on post cards, tax collector Gwen Nunnery said Tuesday.
At her request, county supervisors approved an agreement with Diversified Companies for the printed materials.
Tax notices will be printed on 81⁄2-by-11 inch sheets in envelopes instead of post cards, Nunnery said.
Multiple statements going to the same taxpayer will be grouped in one envelope instead of sent as separate cards, decreasing the chance of getting lost.
The mailout takes place Dec. 1 and 2. It affects real estate, personal property, mobile homes and delinquent tax statements.
