A man who had been on the run from Kansas authorities for months saw his freedom come to an end Thursday morning in Tylertown.
Walthall County Sheriff Kyle Breland said authorities in Salina, Kan., notified him a week ago that Billarious Gatlin was living in Walthall County.
Gatlin had been wanted on charges of rape, two counts of aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, theft, aggravated burglary and criminal intimidation.
Breland said he received confirmation that Gatlin, no age given, was living at 20 Fairview Road, Tylertown.
Salina police Capt. Mike Sweeney Gatlin is accused of raping a woman at knifepoint on Dec. 27.
Sweeney said Gatlin left the area before officers arrived on the scene and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Breland said Gatlin remains in the Walthall County jail and is awaiting extradition back to Kansas.
