Marion County authorities have arrested five people in connectionwith the Oct. 30 shooting death of a real estate agent.
The body of 63-year-old Janell Hatton of the Bunkerhill communityin Marion County was discovered in Kokomo after her husband reportedher missing.
According to 15th Circuit Court District Attorney Buddy McDonald,evidence at the scene indicated that Hatton was shot.
"A considerable amount of blood was at the scene and ashot hole was found at the scene, along with spent shell casings,"the district attorney's office reported.
Charged with capital murder are Steven L. Kirkley, 26, andKeith Magee, 20, both of Columbia. Charged with accessory afterthe fact of capital murder are Robbie Dixon, 20, and Edina Kirkley,31, both of Columbia. Charged with conspiracy is Larry MichaelDixon, 25, of Bogalusa, La.
Officials said many of coins were taken from the residenceat the time of Mrs. Hatton's murder.
