Two Pike County residents died in an apparent head-on collision on Fernwood Road early Thursday.
Pike County Coroner Percy Pittman said Charles A. Magee, 18, of 1016 Jonas Lane in Magnolia, and Ravouhn Renese Tucker, 20, 1010 Andrew Court, Magnolia, were killed in the two-vehicle wreck.
The accident happened shortly before 7 a.m. in front of 7106 Fernwood Road.
Pittman said Magee was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina, and Tucker was in a 2010 Chrysler Sebring.
Pittman said Magee had at least one passenger, a fellow worker at Sanderson Farms, who was injured and is being treated at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
An accident reconstruction team was at the scene Thursday trying to determine how the collision happened. Pittman said it’s possible the heavy fog may have been a factor in the wreck.
Arrangements for Magee and Tucker are being handled by Craft Funeral Home of McComb.
