The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, February 8, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A departing storm is expected to bring a mix of rain and
snow to coastal Maine tomorrow, as well as some morning rain
across the southern New England coast. It will also be
responsible for some lake-effect snow showers across the
interior Northeast from northeastern Ohio to Maine, as
colder conditions approach from the Ohio Valley. Elsewhere
across the nation will be largely dry except for showers in
Florida and coastal Georgia, as cool air settles into the
region. High winds are anticipated across the Plains ahead
of some quick-moving snow, and some mild weather can be
expected in the interior Northwest. The Southwest will
generally be pleasant and mild as well.
