NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain and thunderstorms could cause flooding from central
Texas east-northeastward to western Mississippi tomorrow.
Spotty afternoon thunderstorms may develop from southeastern
Alabama to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Showers will
dampen parts of New England and upstate New York. Morning
snow showers will occur from the Arrowhead of Minnesota
through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. A steadier snow
will come to an end during the morning in eastern Colorado
and western Nebraska. In slightly warmer air, occasional
rain and drizzle will fall some southwestern Kansas to the
Texas Panhandle. Those locations are also expected to dry
out in the afternoon. Meanwhile, the first heat wave of the
year will get underway in the Desert Southwest.
