The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, March 12, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm moving into the West Coast will spread rain and
mountain snow across the Northwest and northern Rockies
tomorrow. Breezy conditions can develop across the higher
elevations of the Intermountain West. Elsewhere across the
nation, mainly dry weather will prevail as multiple zones of
high pressure span across the eastern and central portions
of the country. Warmth will continue to build across the
Plains and will spread into the Northeast as temperatures
rise 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit above historical averages.
Thunderstorms can develop across Missouri and Illinois at
night, and some can become strong enough to bring hail and
gusty winds. As breezy conditions continue across the
southern Plains, there can be an elevated risk of wildfires
across West Texas.
